My Skin Journey
If you have been following me on YouTube you know, I have been doing Face Yoga for many years, I have also training with Danielle Collins Face Yoga, obtaining the Face Yoga method Teacher Certification. I have always been interested in natural beauty, health and healing; Face fitness has given me a fun and new way of fighting the signs of ageing.
I want to maintain the health of my skin to the best of my ability; I don't invest in botox or fillers and finding Face Yoga a perfect way to tackle the ageing process naturally, and I am keen to explore anything natural.
I feel much pressure is put onto us to stay young looking, but it is part of the human process, and it should be embraced and nurtured. By doing Face Yoga I know I am looking after my skin and overall wellbeing, reducing stress levels and increasing relaxation and want to share this with you.
What is Face Yoga?
Face Yoga is a natural way to help us feel and look younger and healthier through a combination of face exercises, facial massage, face acupressure and face relaxation.
There are 57 muscles in the neck and face that are much smaller than the other muscles in the body, so it doesnt require as much work. When we work the muscles undernearth the skin it helps to impove the appearance of the face and gives us a more youthful appearance.
Face Yoga really helps to work and stimulate the colleagen to improve the skin and releases toxins reducing puffyness allowing the lympatic system to drain giving us a much younger radiant appearance. Doing Face Yoga along with a good skin care routine will really increase skin health.

How Does Face Yoga Work?
By practising Face Yoga exercises, the muscles become strong, lifted and firm because this happens the skin that is attached to the muscle becomes lifted, and wrinkles are reduced as it becomes tauter.
When we add massage, acupressure and relaxation into our Face Yoga Method, we allow the increase of circulation, lymphatic flow and the removal of toxins. This will help to eliminate puffiness, bad skin tone, dark circles and tension resulting in beautiful, healthy glowing skin.
Will practising Face Yoga give me wrinkles?
NO, If done correctly, all techniques I share in my Face Yoga Method Classes work the face and neck in a controlled way. When you go to a fitness class or the gym and work the body, you improve the firmness of the body and the skin texture. The same applies to the face. When we work on muscle resistance, we firm the muscle creating a lift to promote firmness and a youthful look. So as you exercise your face, you are building muscle fibre which reduces wrinkles.
What causes us to age?
Many things can make our skin age as we get older such as the weakening of the face muscles, poor lymphatic flow, stress, poor nutrition, lack of sleep, too much sun along with many other things.
But with awareness, we can help to reduce their factors and support our skin not only by doing Face fitness but by changing some things within our lifestyle if possible.

When will I see the Face Yoga working?
You may notice a change within the first session, less puffy and a glow. But long term improvement will be seen around the two-week mark, and it just gets better and better. You need Face Yoga consistency as a part of your daily routine.
