Do you suffer from fatigue/tiredness? Well, I can relate as I have! For a long time, most of my glands did not function in harmony, and it took me a long time and a lot of self-care and dedicated healing to get myself back into balance.
When it comes to Yoga I can not deny that it has been my stepping stone to healing in many ways - I say stepping stone because healing comes from much more than doing a Yoga practice it comes from awareness and surrender of many things from bad habits through to old thought patterns.
One of the main culprits for Fatigue is the adrenal glands (STRESS), and this sequence helps to bring back balance and harmony. This sequence Shashankasana (pose of the moon or hare pose) not only helps to regulate the adrenal glands but it also helps with:
* Stretches the back muscles
* Releases pressure on spinal discs
* Helps with backache
* Helps posture
* Tones pelvic area & sciatic nerve
* Helps alleviate reproductive disorders
This practice is not suitable for people suffering from vertigo, high blood pressure or slipped discs. Please be mindful when performing this or any yoga asana and only do what is comfortable for your body TODAY (not how it was before or how you want it to be tomorrow).
I have included the video to help assist you in the practice and once you get comfortable in the movement encouraging a lengthening of time in the final position, the hold of the exhale should only be held while comfortable and can be slowly increased over time.
