Hello, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Janet. I discovered the beautiful Lotus Flower Yoga studio in December 2015, when Katya came to the rescue with the offer of a home for our group. Tara Yoga, was established in 1990, when I qualified as a Teacher with The British Wheel of Yoga. My style is based on Hatha Yoga, with other influences intertwined.

As well as studying different traditions of yoga, over the years I have been fortunate to meet Gurus and Spiritual teachers from esoteric backgrounds, including; Healing, Shamanism, Spiritualism and Tibetan Buddhism. In 1994, my husband and I qualified in Osteopathy, where the knowledge of bio- mechanics enhanced my understanding of the effect of yoga postures on the physical body. We run a natural health and back pain clinic from home in Charnock Richard.

My aim in sharing yoga is to heal the spirit through the vehicle of the physical body, to empower individuals to take control of their lives and manage personal stress levels, in this era of high pressure, speed and technological overload. I adapt the yoga to suit the need or mood at that particular time and sessions will usually include pranayama, visualisation and relaxation as well as postures and sequences, hopefully you walk in and float out.

I am also pleased to announce that I have just attained my BSc. Hons Degree in in Nutritional Science.

Om Shanti
